Dice A Million Leaves Early Access With Version 1.1 Update and Multiplatform Launch

The roguelike deckbuilder Dice A Million has officially transitioned out of early access with a major content rollout, bringing the game to a wide array of new platforms alongside the deployment of Update 1.1, titled "Uncommon Shapes." Originally launched on Steam and PC Game Pass in February, the dice-rolling title has since achieved commercial success, selling over 70,000 copies and garnering more than 1,000 reviews on Steam with an 89% positive score.

As part of its full launch, Dice A Million became available on September 3 across Mac, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Sony PlayStation 5, and iOS and Android devices. Coinciding with this widespread release is the deployment of Update 1.1, which introduces significant additions to gameplay. The update brings 17 new dice—such as the Bamboo D4, Coral D4, MiniDisc, and Bullet Die—alongside 12 new rings including the Poker Ring, Coppermind, and Shape Amulet. Players can also utilize a new card, the Punch Card, and experience a new hand known as the Cyan Hand.

Alongside new items, Update 1.1 introduces Face Weights, a mechanic obtainable mostly through events and the boss shop that allows players to apply weights to certain dice faces to increase their rolling odds. Furthermore, the developers rewrote the entire dice physics system, moving away from GameMaker's built-in engine in favor of custom physics. This overhaul improves overall performance and enforces new rules, ensuring dice can no longer leave the table area or physically overlap with each other, thereby increasing visual clarity and bounce interactions. Non-dice objects like fire or paper remain exceptions, allowing other dice to overlap them without bouncing.
