Diablo 4 will continue receiving seasonal content even after Diablo 5 launches, according to the game's director. The commitment mirrors Blizzard's approach with Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, both of which have remained supported alongside newer entries in the franchise.

The confirmation addresses player concerns about the longevity of Diablo 4's live service following the inevitable transition to the next mainline title. By maintaining seasonal updates across multiple generations, Blizzard signals its intention to keep the current game relevant for players who prefer it over its successor.

Diablo 4 launched in June 2023 and has since established a steady seasonal cadence. The game director's statement suggests this pattern will persist, allowing both new and veteran players to find active communities regardless of which Diablo title they choose to play.
