Diablo 4 Players Equip Full Mythic Sets in Season 15, Blizzard's Intent Unclear
A loophole in Diablo 4's crafting system is letting dedicated players outfit characters in multiple Mythic Unique items simultaneously, a first for the game. The technique requires massive resource investment and may or may not be intentional.

Diablo 4 players are equipping full sets of Mythic Unique gear in Season 15 (Hell's Legacy), creating characters more powerful than previous seasons allowed. Whether Blizzard intended this outcome remains uncertain.
The shift stems from changes to how Mythic Uniques are tagged. In Season 14, Blizzard restricted crafted Mythics to one per character, blocking players from equipping multiple items they had created themselves. The restriction proved unpopular, and Blizzard reversed course for Season 15. Now Mythics crafted via the Blacksmith or Jeweler lack the "crafted" tag, allowing multiple equipped simultaneously. Mythics made through the Horadric Cube still retain the tag and remain limited to one.
The loophole exists in the Cube's Recycle Uniques recipe. By combining three identical Mythic Uniques, players can generate a new version with randomized stats that lacks the "crafted" tag entirely. This recycled Mythic can be equipped alongside other Mythics, including duplicates created the same way.
The barrier to abuse is substantial. Creating a single Mythic through crafting costs 15 Resplendent Sparks. Filling all 12 gear slots would require 180 Sparks, an enormous grind for casual players. Despite the cost, dedicated content creators including Wudijo have completed the feat, demonstrating that full Mythic sets are achievable.
Blizzard's September 29 update addresses bugs but makes no mention of this technique, offering no indication whether it will be closed. Season 15 has generally been well-received after Season 14's unpopularity, partly due to the addition of Diablo as an encounter alongside Deckard Cain.
Looking ahead, Diablo 4 will receive the Amazon class in the first half of 2025 but no new expansions. Blizzard is developing Diablo 5, scheduled for 2029, with three playable classes already revealed.
