Demacia Cup 2026 Swiss Stage Draw Sets Up Cross-Regional Opening Matches
The Demacia Cup 2026 draw is complete, with teams from LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL set to compete in a Swiss stage featuring region-avoiding Round 1 matchups.

The Demacia Cup 2026 Swiss Stage draw is complete, setting the stage for a new international League of Legends tournament featuring teams that failed to qualify for LoL Worlds 2026. The event will see regionally seeded teams between 4th and 7th from the LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL compete for the title of the world's best non-Worlds-qualifying team.
Round 1 of the Swiss stage avoids same-region matchups, with teams drawn against opponents from different regions. From Round 2 onward, teams with identical records face each other, with no rematches allowed. The first to two wins advance, while teams with 0-2 records enter a round-robin format for remaining spots. Eight teams will ultimately reach the offline best-of-five stage.
The opening matches are set as follows: Shopify Rebellion (LCS #4) vs KT Rolster (LCK #5), HANJIN BRION (LCK #7) vs JDG (LPL #5), Vitality (LCS #5) vs BFX (LCK #6), LGD (LPL #7) vs FlyQuest (NA #5), GAM (LCP #4) vs Team WE (LPL #6), and RED (CBLoL #4) vs NAVI (LEC #4).
Last year's LoL Worlds finalists KT Rolster enter as tournament favorites at 33% according to Polymarket users. Their Round 1 opponents, Shopify Rebellion, showed strong form in the LCS Playoffs with a surprising 3-2 victory over FlyQuest. BFX started the year well by qualifying for First Stand but have since parted ways with star ADC Nam 'Diable' Dae-geun and lost momentum.
Team Vitality's toplaner Kaan 'Naak Nako' Okan performed excellently, helping the team finish first and second in the Spring and Summer regular seasons. However, they failed to win a single Playoffs series in either split. Natus Vincere impressed in the LEC Playoffs during a close series with Movistar KOI, relying heavily on LEC Rookie of the Year Enes 'Rhilech' Uçan.
In the LPL, Team WE could emerge as dark horses if star jungler Wang 'Monki' Meng-Qi performs, as demonstrated in the Spring Playoffs when WE shocked both BLG and Anyone's Legend. JDG, meanwhile, will play with a less experienced lineup after dropping Taiwanese duo Yu 'JunJia' Chun-Chia and Tsai 'HongQ' Ming-Hong, with jungler Fang 'xiaofang' Zhe-Yu and midlaner Xiang 'Angel' Tao stepping in.
The Demacia Cup represents a significant opportunity for teams that missed out on Worlds 2026 qualification to prove themselves on the international stage, with the Swiss format ensuring competitive matchups throughout the early stages of the tournament.
