Flexus reaches Steam's third-most-wishlisted game with airline comedy Dear Passengers

Dear Passengers, a co-op game about running the world's worst airline, ranks third on Steam's wishlist behind Deadlock and Light No Fire. Developer Flexus has never released a game on Steam before.

Dear Passengers has climbed to Steam's third-most-wishlisted game, surprising the community with its rapid ascent. The airline comedy co-op title trails only Valve's PvP shooter Deadlock and Hello Games' Light No Fire on the platform's wishlist rankings.

The game positions players as crew members assembling to run the "world's worst airline," where "your plane is falling apart, your cargo is illegal, and passenger safety barely makes the list." Players interact with passengers described as "boggle-eyed, flappy-mouthed" characters while managing disaster and discord through online co-op.

Dear Passengers sits ahead of major anticipated releases including Fable, Phantom Blade Zero, Resident Evil Veronica, and Witchbrook. The game exemplifies the "friendslop" trend that has defined recent Steam releases, with one trailer self-describing it as "Another Friendslop Game."

Developer Flexus is new to Steam but not to gaming. The Kyiv, Ukraine-based studio, founded in 2020, boasts over 300 million downloads across 150-plus countries through mobile titles including Tower Draft, Mow My Lawn, Dye Hard, and Train Miner. These mobile games have maintained solid user ratings, with the lowest reviewed at 4.2 stars.

Dear Passengers reached 2 million wishlists by July 31. The game entered the top five on August 7 and claimed the third position by September 5, according to Flexus's social media announcements. The next similar co-op title ranks twentieth on the wishlist board.
