The wave of unofficial Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks orchestrated by an individual or group known as Cyberleek appears to have concluded. According to reports from Kotaku and investigations by GTA Forum sleuth Vice Cit, the leaker transferred approximately $250,000 into separate wallets across four transactions on August 27.

From the beginning, the accounts behind Cyberleek utilized leaked material from Rockstar's upcoming game as a vehicle to promote a personal crypto coin via QR codes and watermarked links. Rather than executing a traditional crypto rug pull, the scheme involved burning 270 million reserve coins to build trader trust, allowing the creators to profit from ongoing transaction fees as the coin's price and market cap surged.

As the coin's value ultimately entered a freefall, investigators noted that the financial maneuvers functioned as a pump and dump. The final push included a four-minute leak of the prologue featuring the female protagonist Lucia, accompanied by urgent pleas for trading volume to sustain the project.

Observers suggest several factors may have prompted the apparent cashout, including fear of impending investigations by Take-Two or a shifting public conversation driven by official media reveals. While speculation remains that another promotional leak could surface, the current chapter of the saga concludes with the reported crypto payout.
