Crimson Desert Update 2.03.00 Fixes Quest Bugs and Adds New Photo Mode Feature

Pearl Abyss has released update 2.03.00 for Crimson Desert, continuing to address bugs and improve stability across all supported platforms.

The patch introduces a new reward system for players starting fresh. When beginning a new game with an existing save file, players now receive 1,000 or more Silver as stackable Silver Pouches. This gives returning players a modest head start without disrupting progression.

Photo Mode receives a quality-of-life improvement with the addition of a Precise Movement feature, allowing finer camera control for screenshots and video captures.

Several quest-related issues have been fixed in this update. The guide NPC in the Shadowed Secrets quest now spawns in the correct location when retrying. The Lumberjacks' Witness Report poster will continuously respawn if players haven't read it yet. Combat missions no longer cancel after saving and loading post-dispatch, and missions requiring waiting periods can no longer be progressed immediately.

Gameplay improvements address horse racing and movement mechanics. Opponent horses no longer move too quickly during races. The Water Stride ability now allows jumping and sliding when Vaporwalker is equipped. Players will no longer freeze when using certain items while mounted.

Control issues receive attention across multiple systems. QTE behavior after being grabbed by a bear now works consistently regardless of input method. Character control during the Investigate the Mysterious Voice quest has been restored. The Skill Details button in the Stables and Pet Management menus has been adjusted for better accessibility.

Combat stability improvements prevent enemies from failing to fall off cliffs after knockback and reduce excessive fall damage when dismounting from A.T.A.G. mid-air.

Technical updates include NVIDIA Streamline SDK 2.14.1, which applies the latest transformer model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction. UI text jittering during scrolling has been resolved, localization has been improved across all languages, and visual noise on armor indoors is now less noticeable. Horse models appear more natural when equipped with certain bardings.

Crimson Desert launched for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in March 2026, selling over six million copies worldwide. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for early 2027. An expansion titled Charting the Unknown launches October 15, 2026.
