Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown DLC Pushed to October 29 for Polish
Pearl Abyss delays the seafaring expansion by two weeks to refine gameplay and stability before launch.

Pearl Abyss has delayed Crimson Desert's first major expansion, Charting the Unknown, by two weeks. The DLC will now release on October 29 instead of October 15.
The developer cited the need for additional development time to refine content and deliver a more polished, stable experience. Pearl Abyss said it will use the extra time to further improve the expansion before its new launch date.
Charting the Unknown adds seafaring gameplay centered on ships and new islands. Players will explore underwater ruins, hunt for treasure, and uncover new mysteries. The expansion includes additional quests, story content, new enemies and bosses.
Beyond combat content, the DLC expands home-building systems. Players can now rent properties, run facilities and construct larger homes. A new relationship system lets players form bonds with locals in Pywel.
The $25 expansion is the first major DLC since Crimson Desert launched in March 2026. Pearl Abyss has maintained an active update schedule since release, delivering patches and content additions including quality-of-life improvements, story enhancements and combat adjustments. In August, the game was rebranded as Crimson Desert Enhanced to reflect 17 patches and content additions shipped to that point.
