Code Vein II: Mask of Idris DLC Set for September 9 Release Along with Free Update

Publisher Bandai Namco has officially confirmed the worldwide release date for the upcoming Code Vein II expansion, titled Mask of Idris. The major downloadable content pack is scheduled to launch simultaneously around the globe on September 9, 2026. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Code Vein II is an action RPG where players wield time as a weapon and travel through past and present versions of the world.

The Mask of Idris expansion features a post-game storyline set within the Forsaken World, a setting forged from the converged passions of worlds that vanished due to historical alterations. In this alternate world, a colossal, swirling spindle threatens to impact the real world. During this narrative, players will cross paths with Liv Voda, the sister of Valentin. Described as an alluring guardian of time and space, Liv possesses a combative personality.

Because the expansion is designed as post-game content, players must meet specific requirements within the main game to access the new campaign. Specifically, players must have reached the “Luna Fraterna” ending of the main narrative in Code Vein II and successfully completed the sub-mission titled “Valentin’s request.”

In addition to the paid DLC, Bandai Namco will release a free update patch to Version 2.0 on the same day. This simultaneous update is set to implement various updates, including additional post-game elements and content that allows players to explore the post-main game world alongside their partners. While details on the exact features included in Version 2.0 remain sparse, Bandai Namco has teased that more information will be revealed at a later date.
