Code Vein 2 DLC Mask of Idris Arrives September 2026 Featuring a Different Version of Lou MagMell

Bandai Namco has detailed the Code Vein 2 expansion Mask of Idris, which launches on September 9, 2026, and features a new storyline with an alternate version of Lou MagMell.

Bandai Namco has shared fresh details regarding the upcoming Code Vein 2 downloadable content expansion, titled Mask of Idris. Alongside the announcement of its official release date, the publisher confirmed that the upcoming expansion will launch on September 9, 2026. Ahead of the release, developers have rolled out promotional material including a new teaser trailer and a story refresher video designed to prep players for the add-on's narrative.

In Mask of Idris, the player's avatar travels into the Forsaken World to address and resolve its ongoing issues. The expansion introduces two Revenants who act as allies during the journey. The first is an entirely new character named Liv Voda, who functions as the Temporal Rift Guardian. The second is a returning character, Lou MagMell; however, the latest updates confirm that this specific character is a different version of the familiar Revenant, featuring a completely new story arc. Accessing this expansion's narrative requires players to have already reached the Luna Fraterna ending of the base game.

To help players catch up, a nearly 12-minute story recap video has been released, recapping the main character's journey alongside the original Lou MagMell and other Revenants. Meanwhile, the shorter teaser focuses on showcasing the player avatar alongside newcomer Liv Voda and teasing the alternate Lou MagMell before displaying the final September launch date. Code Vein 2 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
