Borderlands 4 Story Pack 2, Bounty Pack 5 Get September 10th Release Date

Gearbox Entertainment has announced that Story Pack 2 and Bounty Pack 5 for Borderlands 4 will launch on September 10th, alongside a free update raising the level cap.

During a recent DevCast, Gearbox Entertainment announced that Story Pack 2 for Borderlands 4, titled FL4K and the Last Resort, will launch on September 10th. On the same day, Bounty Pack 5 – Amara and the Vile Shadows will also be released, alongside a free update that introduces a host of new features, including raising the maximum level cap by 10.

FL4K and the Last Resort takes place on the remote island of Providence, a former luxurious resort surrounded by lush wilderness and an active volcano that is rapidly turning into a warzone. Players will team up with FL4K, the Beastmaster from Borderlands 3, to save their loyal skag companion, Mr. Chew. Along the way, players will face the forces of the Tediore corporation, which has sent an expeditionary group led by five elite managers working under Lieutenant Harmony to harvest Ordonite. The Providence zone features a distinct setting compared to the main game environment of Kairos, offering dense jungles, verticality with ziplines for traversal, and new Tediore enemies equipped with precursor and Deadframe exo-suits. Clearing Story Pack 2 rewards players with items from a new pool containing two Pearlescent-tier weapons and 18 pieces of Legendary gear.

Meanwhile, Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows focuses on corruption spread by Shards of Ordonite and unstable Phase rifts. Players will team up with Amara to investigate an old laboratory belonging to Vile Lictor. Completing the repeatable missions in Bounty Pack 5 rewards players with a Pearlescent weapon called AeroDramatic, which is a Torgue Shotgun, as well as six new pieces of Legendary gear, including the Triplicate Vladof Assault Rifle, the Wind Skimmer Jakobs Sniper Rifle, and the Outburst Torgue Repkit. Additionally, a new Vault Hunter named Loveless the Hacker is coming to the game, with Gearbox planning to showcase her gameplay on September 3rd.

Borderlands 4 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the company plans to continue its support for the looter shooter following previous content releases like Bounty Pack 4.
