The Blood of Dawnwalker getting easier difficulty with potential combat skip
Rebel Wolves is adding a new Story mode designed for players who want narrative without gameplay challenge, following requests for easier difficulty options.

Rebel Wolves is expanding difficulty options for The Blood of Dawnwalker with a new easier Story mode alongside its existing "Fair" difficulty setting.
In an interview with Eurogamer, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz described the upcoming changes: "We will introduce an additional difficulty level, but an easier one, because many people are asking for a more easy difficulty. The Story mode which we have right now will be a different difficulty—we will call it Demanding or something like this—and we will add a new Story mode which will be even easier for people who don't want to experience the combat, they just want to learn the story and go through the game without this gameplay challenge."
Based on this description, the new mode appears to include a combat skip option, allowing players to bypass encounters entirely. The Blood of Dawnwalker would join a small group of narrative-driven games offering this approach. South of Midnight includes a dedicated "combat skip" toggle that prompts players when fights begin. Dragon Age: The Veilguard provides an invincibility mode framed as an accessibility feature, letting players progress through encounters without challenge.
The trend reflects growing interest in separating story from mechanical difficulty in blockbuster games. Rebel Wolves' approach targets players specifically interested in narrative progression without combat engagement. The patch is scheduled for early October. New Game Plus mode is also confirmed for future release, though timing has not been announced.
