The Blood of Dawnwalker Sells 1 Million Copies in Three Days

The Blood of Dawnwalker has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide in just three days following its launch, developer Rebel Wolves announced over the weekend. The studio, composed of former Witcher developers, shared the milestone on social media, thanking players for their support and community engagement.

The open-world action RPG set in a vampire-themed world has resonated strongly with players since release. The game peaked at 70,692 concurrent players on Steam, a significant achievement for a single-player title. According to reporting from the time, the game had achieved 65,433 concurrent players on Steam as it continued to draw interest from the gaming community.

The launch was not without pre-release concerns. Rebel Wolves had previously confirmed that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions would not offer a 60fps Performance Mode at launch. However, the studio responded to community feedback, stating "we heard your feedback" and noting that "it was clear how much this mattered to many of you." The team completed additional testing and confirmed that Performance Mode would be available on day one, addressing player expectations.

Critical reception has been positive. Eurogamer awarded the game four out of five stars in its review, describing it as "an RPG daring to do things differently" with much of what it attempts working well. The strong sales and player engagement suggest that Rebel Wolves has successfully established its debut intellectual property in a competitive gaming landscape.
