City Builder Beyond These Stars Sets October Release Date, Demo Available Now

Developer Balancing Monkey Games and publisher Hooded Horse have officially announced that their upcoming city-building title, Beyond These Stars, will launch on PC via Steam on October 15, 2026. Alongside the release date confirmation, a brand new playable demo has been made available for players looking to experience the game ahead of its full launch.

In Beyond These Stars, players construct settlements on the back of Kewa, a giant, sentient space whale journeying across the universe. Upon arrival, the environment is desolate and inhospitable, requiring players to terraform the land into a functional ecosystem complete with farms, forests, and canals. Gameplay revolves around managing production chains and balancing settler survival with the happiness and well-being of Kewa.

As the journey progresses, players must strengthen their bond with the space whale to prevent it from hastily leaving star systems. Maintaining this relationship allows settlers to travel together, meet other species, and uncover historical secrets regarding the space whales and their own ancestors. Additionally, players can establish outposts on nearby planets to harvest essential resources and research new technologies to aid their cosmic voyage.
