Battlefield Studios has unveiled Rapid Royale, a new mode coming to Battlefield 6's Redsec battle royale off-shoot. Described as the game's version of Call of Duty: Warzone's popular Resurgence mode, Rapid Royale takes place on dedicated maps that are smaller than the main mode's playground. The mode features a reduced player count, faster-moving circles, and multiple ways to respawn after death, resulting in a significantly faster pace with frequent firefights and much shorter matches.

Rapid Royale is slated to arrive alongside Season 5, which currently holds a vague winter 2026 target window and is expected to introduce three new maps. Ahead of that update, Season 4's final stage, titled Tidal Strike, kicks off on September 15th to introduce proximity chat initially within the battle royale mode. Season 4 previously brought naval combat, the game's largest map yet, a Top Gun collaboration, a Wake Island remake, two-seater jets, and a reimagined Carrier Assault mode called Carrier Strike.
