Atlus released a Shadow Version of its Persona 30th Anniversary celebration video on September 20, 2026, marking the exact 30th anniversary of the original Persona's Japanese release.
Revelations: Persona, known as Megami Ibunroku Persona in Japan, launched on September 20, 1996 for PlayStation 1. The Shadow Version video was created to accompany the milestone, reimagining the series' protagonists with a twist: "What if the protagonists had Shadows of their own?"
This special edition video was released exclusively for the anniversary celebration. Atlus originally unveiled a standard version of the 30th Anniversary video in January 2026. The Shadow Version offers fans a limited-edition take on the celebration content.
The Persona series continues with Persona 4 Revival heading to PS5, Xbox, and PC in February 2027, giving players a chance to revisit one of the franchise's most popular entries.
