ARC Raiders Frozen Trail First Look Premieres September 23

Embark Studios will premiere an in-depth first look at ARC Raiders' Frozen Trail update on September 23 at 10 a.m. PDT, 1 p.m. EDT, and 7 p.m. CEST on YouTube. The studio teased the reveal with a short trailer on September 18, with the full presentation coming the following Wednesday.

Frozen Trail launches on October 8 as the first major update since ARC Raiders shifted from a monthly cadence to delivering at least two substantial updates per year in May 2026. The new map emphasizes verticality and creates fresh opportunities for exploration and discovery.

The update introduces a massive new ARC enemy type, though specifics remain unrevealed ahead of the September 23 premiere. Embark has hinted that additional details about the Expeditions system may surface during the presentation. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal recently stated that the team is considering scrapping Expeditions entirely. "Maybe we'll scrap the whole system altogether. That is on the table, too. Right now, the team is trying to figure out what the next steps for Expeditions are," Grøndal said in an interview.

The fifth Expedition coming to ARC Raiders will be the last one until at least early 2027, if not permanently, pending the outcome of the team's ongoing review. Frozen Trail represents the studio's commitment to delivering substantial seasonal content under its revised update strategy.
