AOC AGON PRO AGP257FT brings 1,000 Hz IPS gaming monitor with 0.3 ms response time
AOC enters the ultra-high refresh monitor market with a new 25-inch 1,000 Hz IPS display featuring a 0.3 ms grey-to-grey response time, developed in collaboration with display specialist BOE.

AOC is launching the AGON PRO AGP257FT, a 25-inch 1,000 Hz IPS gaming monitor designed to compete in the emerging ultra-high refresh rate segment. The monitor will arrive in Q1 2027, with pricing to be confirmed.
The AGP257FT uses a new oxide-based IPS panel developed through a collaboration between AOC and Chinese display specialist BOE, rather than using an existing panel design. The monitor delivers a 0.3 ms grey-to-grey response time alongside its 1,000 Hz refresh rate. AOC also quotes a 0.1 ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time) metric. The display supports overclocking up to 1,050 Hz and carries HDR 400 certification, though without local dimming support.
The new AOC monitor shares the 1,000 Hz refresh and 1080p IPS panel approach with the LG UltraGear 25G590B, which launched recently with a 1 ms response time. However, the AOC's faster claimed response time addresses a potential gap in real-world motion clarity. For comparison, the Sony Inzone M10S II delivers 0.03 ms response on a 540 Hz OLED panel and offers noticeably better motion clarity, though at a higher price point and larger 27-inch 1440p format.
Ultra-high refresh rate monitors are rapidly becoming standard in competitive esports, though the practical benefits of 1,000 Hz over traditional 240-360 Hz displays remain debated among players.
