AOC's 1050Hz Agon Pro Monitor Arrives in 2027 With Fast IPS Panel
AOC is releasing its first 1000Hz gaming monitor, the Agon Pro AGP257FT, in early 2027. The 25-inch display runs at 1050Hz using an oxide-based Fast IPS panel, targeting esports players and competitive gamers seeking improved motion clarity.

AOC is bringing ultra-high refresh gaming to a new level with the Agon Pro AGP257FT, a 1050Hz monitor launching in early 2027. The 25-inch display marks the company's entry into the 1000Hz monitor segment, which only emerged in 2025 at lower resolutions.
The monitor runs at 1000Hz out of the box, with an overclocking option pushing it to 1.05KHz. At native 1080p resolution, it uses an oxide-based Fast IPS panel, a technology choice that aims to balance motion response with image quality. Response time sits at 0.3ms grey-to-grey, though IPS panels typically trade some motion clarity for better colour accuracy and viewing angles compared to older TN-based high refresh monitors.
Motion clarity at extreme refresh rates became a focus after Blur Busters research in 2020 suggested 1000Hz represents a threshold where LCD monitors can approach the responsiveness of CRT displays. The first 1000Hz models arrived at 720p in 2025, with later iterations moving to 1080p to better suit modern gaming demands.
The Agon Pro AGP257FT targets esports professionals but supports any PC game running at unlocked frame rates. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 2.1. The monitor supports HDR through a 20-zone local dimming system with DisplayHDR 400 certification.
For positioning, the stand offers 150mm of height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot controls with calibration markings. Additional features include a low blue light mode, flicker-free backlight and circular polarisation to reduce glare.
