Ahsoka Season 2 Trailer Highlights Anakin Flashbacks and Grand Admiral Thrawn

Lucasfilm has released the first trailer for Ahsoka season 2, featuring Grand Admiral Thrawn declaring war on the Rebel Alliance. The footage highlights the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, appearing both as a Force ghost and in snowy Clone Wars-era flashbacks. Quick action sequences also show Huyang wielding multiple lightsabers during a confrontation with Shin Hati, while the narrative addresses the ongoing question of Ahsoka Tano's Jedi status.

Season 2 picks up after the events of the first season finale, which left Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren stranded on Peridea while Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn escaped to the main galaxy. Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati also remain on Peridea, with Rory McCann stepping into the role of Baylan following the passing of Ray Stevenson. Additional details from Star Wars Celebration 2025 confirmed that Admiral Ackbar will face off against Thrawn, and behind-the-scenes previews teased galactic battles alongside giant, evil droids.

Director Jon Favreau noted that the second season deals with a larger, higher-level perspective involving military officers. Ahsoka season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus on January 20, 2027.
