Disney has confirmed that the second season of Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ on January 20, 2027, alongside the release of a new teaser trailer.

During recent presentations and announcements stemming from the D23 convention, firm details regarding the return of the live-action television series Ahsoka have been revealed. Disney announced that the second season of the show will premiere on Disney+ on January 20, 2027. Accompanying the premiere date announcement, a teaser trailer was revealed showing Rosario Dawson's titular Jedi attempting to return to the main galaxy, confronting new and old threats, and reuniting with various allies.

Alongside the premiere date, further details about the upcoming episodes have emerged. Disney confirmed that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker. Additionally, Jon Favreau noted that the second season will deal more with the larger picture and a higher level. Meanwhile, casting updates indicate that Claudia Black will not return as one of the Nightsisters in the upcoming round of episodes, stating that Disney could not pay her what she needed to be paid.

Production milestones for the series have also progressed, with confirmation that Ahsoka Season 2 has wrapped filming. The narrative will see Thrawn continuing to plot his comeback as he looks likely to set things in motion in the upcoming episodes. The arrival of the second season in early 2027 likely positions it as the final major Star Wars project to debut prior to the theatrical release of Star Wars: Starfighter in May 2027.
