adamb confident NIP will reach top 10 after 1win Private Club S1 victory
Newly signed rifler Adam Ångström believes Ninjas in Pyjamas has the potential to become a top-10 team soon, following the organization's first tournament win with its restructured roster at 1win Private Club S1.

Ninjas in Pyjamas has reshuffled its CS:GO roster in recent weeks, bringing in Adam "adamb" Ångström as a rifler and installing Karim "Krimbo" Moussa as in-game leader after replacing long-standing captain Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer. The moves came after a disappointing group-stage exit at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 in Poland, but the team bounced back to claim victory at 1win Private Club S1 following additional practice time.
Speaking to HLTV after the win, adamb expressed optimism about the team's direction despite having limited time to integrate. "I see this team as a top 10 team soon. I have no doubts about that," he said. The rifler, who previously played for OG, acknowledged that his adjustment period is ongoing. "It's still like we had one week and a half now of practice, we've been grinding for the last two weeks, and it's been two rough weeks I would say, but it's nice coming into the team for sure," adamb explained.
Comfort levels remain a work in progress for the Swedish player. "I would say I'm getting more comfortable. I'm not fully there yet. It's still a lot of rounds where I'm asking what am I doing on this round, what should I do here?" he noted. "And then it's still some new roles for me, like how I should adapt in the team, how I should behave in the team, and it takes time of course, but I think it's going well, I can say."
adamb has been impressed by his new teammates, particularly rifler xKacpersky. "I think xKacpersky is one of the most insane players I ever played with. Me and him, we've been playing FACEIT like maybe five games, four games a day, and we're just winning, cause he's so fucking good at this game," adamb said. He also highlighted Krimbo's leadership capabilities despite the IGL being relatively new to the role. "From day one I joined, he showed perfect leadership. He knew exactly how to treat other people. He's also really good at understanding the game, understanding people, not only inside the game, but also outside the game."
The return to NIP holds special significance for adamb, who previously participated in the organization's academy program. "My dream was always to play in NIP back then," he reflected. "I really think we can make NIP come back to the place it once was, of course. I'm just so happy." He described the team's work ethic as exceptional. "I never felt this kind of hunger. Even though stavn and sjuush are old, they're grinding so hard, watching demos, playing the game, DM. I think we all played over like 10, 11, 12 hours in the last couple of days every day."
adamb's time at OG did not produce the results he hoped for, with the team experiencing roster changes and early exits from events. However, he remains optimistic about NIP's prospects. "I wouldn't say for sure, but I'm pretty secure that we will reach the Major," adamb said when asked about qualifying for the next Major championship. He acknowledged that his own role requires adjustment, noting he is entry fragging more frequently than he did at OG. "It will take some time for me, but I think day by day, I'm working hard. Everyone is working hard and helping me, and it's getting better."
