505 Games and InGame Studios Announce Shooter and Cooking Game Mayhem à la Carte

Publisher 505 Games and developer InGame Studios have announced Mayhem à la Carte, a four-player cooperative game that merges first-person shooting with cooking simulation. The title is scheduled to launch via Steam Early Access on PC in 2027.

According to the official announcement, players must collaborate to prepare and serve complex meals while defending their workspace from waves of attackers. Gameplay shifts from standard kitchen tasks like chopping potatoes and frying burgers to frantic combat when enemies invade the restaurant. Players can utilize proximity voice chat to coordinate responsibilities, throw kitchen equipment and cleavers, or use food-based effects to stun, freeze, shrink, and blow up attackers.

The game features multiple locations inspired by global cuisines, introducing new recipes, hazards, and mechanics. Players must adapt to escalating chaos as environments sustain damage and ingredients scatter across the floor during dinner service.
