1666: Amsterdam Early Access Release Date and Launch Times Announced
Panache Digital Games' 1666: Amsterdam is launching its early access period on August 25, 2026, for PC users on Steam, featuring classic action-adventure gameplay combined with supernatural elements.
Panache Digital Games has announced that 1666: Amsterdam will officially launch its early access period on August 25, 2026. Headed up by Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Désilets, the title combines classic action-adventure gameplay with supernatural abilities, witchcraft, puzzle-solving, and a demonic cat. Revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026, the game's setting, art style, and mystical nature quickly drew considerable attention.
According to information from SteamDB, 1666: Amsterdam is scheduled to go live at 19:40 UTC on August 25, which translates to 12:40 PM PT. While launch schedules can occasionally shift, this timing marks the arrival of the early access version on PC. Players who want an early look can also download a free prologue demo currently available on Steam, which provides backstory and a glimpse into what the early access version offers.
Because the project is entering an early access state rather than a conventional 1.0 full launch, the developers still have plenty of content to add. The initial early access release gives owners access to a large portion of the game, functioning much like a work-in-progress beta. At present, early access is only available for PC owners purchasing and downloading the game through Steam.
