IO Interactive has launched extended operations free DLC for 007 First Light, adding new missions, a photo mode, new game+, weapons, outfits and additional content across current platforms.

The Switch 2 version of the James Bond origin story was delayed until March 2027. When it arrives, all of the newly released DLC content will be included from day one.

IO Interactive's technical producer Cristina Vega explained in a recent interview that achieving stable 30fps performance on Switch 2 was the "highest priority". The developer made compromises in areas that "aren't very crucial to players", including reducing quality on select background assets.

007 First Light launched on PS5 in May 2026 and received positive reception. Push Square awarded the game eight out of ten stars, calling it "a strong and confident adventure".
