Namco's Xevious 3D/G, the arcade cabinet's 3D take on the classic shooter, is heading to home platforms. This marks the first time the arcade version itself has been ported to consumer hardware.

The original Xevious 3D/G arcade game debuted in arcades as Namco's polygonal reimagining of its vertically scrolling shooter series. While a PS1 port of the 3D game did release previously, that version differed from the arcade original. This new release will bring the authentic arcade experience to players outside of arcade cabinets.

Xevious 3D/G represents a notable entry in Namco's arcade legacy and the company's experiments with 3D graphics during the late arcade era. The game combines the series' signature top-down shooting gameplay with polygonal visuals that defined its arcade cabinet presentation.

Details about which platforms will receive the release remain limited at this stage. Namco has not yet announced a specific launch date or confirmed additional platform details for this arcade port.
