Xbox Mythic Achievements Reveal Unlock Sound and Symbol Ahead of Launch

Xbox is preparing to launch Mythic Achievements, its answer to PlayStation's Platinum Trophies, with new details emerging from a PC app update. The unlock sound and symbol for the feature have now been discovered, signaling the feature is close to release.

According to findings posted by Klobrille on X, the unlock sound for Mythic Achievements runs 16 seconds in length. The feature will also include a distinct badge symbol to mark the achievement. Mythic Achievements will be awarded to players who earn all other Achievements in a given game, making them a target for completionists.

Xbox confirmed earlier this year that the feature was in development, with Asha Sharma acknowledging the addition was set to be made. However, full details about the rollout remain unclear. It is not yet known whether Mythic Achievements will apply retroactively to previously released titles or whether each developer will need to update their games individually to support the feature.

The reveal comes as Xbox continues to navigate significant changes. The company has recently shut down several studios and moved Halo development to Activision as part of ongoing organizational restructuring.
