Control Resonant is the sequel to Remedy Entertainment's multi-award-winning original. Players take on the role of Dylan Faden, who emerges from confinement at the Federal Bureau of Control into a warped Manhattan facing a paranatural crisis. The game charges players with combating a mysterious cosmic entity that alters fundamental aspects of reality. Dylan must harness new-found powers to fight threats overwhelming Manhattan, including the corrupting influences of the Hiss, the invasive Mold, and other twisted paranatural threats. Control Resonant costs $59.99 and is optimized for Xbox Series X|S with Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Dune: Awakening from Funcom launches September 22 as a single- and multiplayer open world survival game with immersive adventure and RPG gameplay. Players explore, build, craft, and unravel a cinematic story on Arrakis. The game features rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert, hidden Fremen caves, and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Dune: Awakening supports full single-player, multiplayer with friends on shared servers, and public servers with hundreds of players. All features, content, and story are available regardless of play mode. The game costs $39.99 (reduced from $49.99) and is optimized for Xbox Series X|S. It joins Game Pass on launch day.

EA Sports FC 27 arrives September 25 with a free trial available now. The game introduces The Grounds, a social football playground where streets meet stadium. Players can engage in Kickabouts and 1v1s or team up with friends in Clubs while connecting with renowned football mentors. The sequel features more fluid, true-to-life gameplay with dynamic corners, enhanced attacking awareness, player-focused defending tailored for competitive play, and community-driven innovations.

Graveyard Keeper 2 launches September 22. Players become the Grand Inquisitor, restoring a town and leading an undead army into battle to save the realm from a zombie apocalypse. The sequel tasks players with building and managing a medieval graveyard, harvesting flora, fauna, and human remains to build extraordinary machinery, automate production, and expand operations for profit. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Several smaller releases round out the week. Alien Breed 35th Anniversary arrives September 24, commemorating 35 years since the original game.
