Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has declined to give a direct answer regarding whether The Elder Scrolls 6 will be an Xbox console exclusive. Speaking at Gamescom 2026, Sharma addressed Xbox's broader approach to exclusivity while highlighting that the company is growing into one of the largest platforms globally. Although she stated that every platform requires some form of exclusive content and experiences, she kept tight-lipped when directly pressed about Bethesda's upcoming RPG, opting instead to smile and call it a beautiful game.

Xbox's current messaging on exclusivity has evolved following a prior period of multiplatform embrace under former CEO Phil Spencer. While the company has confirmed that titles like Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution will remain exclusive to Xbox consoles, leadership has emphasized balancing these decisions with overall business health.
