Details regarding the upcoming Xbox 25th Anniversary Special Edition controller have seemingly leaked online. According to reports from the outlet Dealabs, which has a strong track record for industry leaks, the special edition hardware will be officially known as the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition.

The leak indicates that the special controller is slated for a release date of October 20th. Additionally, pre-orders for the controller are reportedly set to begin on August 26th, which coincides with the scheduled date for the first Xbox broadcast at Gamescom 2026. Industry observers expect an official announcement from Microsoft to arrive next week around the time of the broadcast.
