Wisper joins Team Liquid as first South American player for BLAST SLAM VIII

Team Liquid has confirmed the signing of former HEROIC offlaner Adrián "Wisper" Dobles, who replaces Ace to become the organisation's first South American player. The move opens up the position 3 slot on a team that has claimed two The International titles.

Wisper arrives with a strong competitive record across multiple regions and organisations. He finished second at BLAST SLAM VII while playing under LGD, placed third-fourth at BLAST SLAM IV with HEROIC, and won FISSURE Universe Episode 7 with HEROIC after a 3-1 grand-final victory over MOUZ. He also reached fifth-sixth place at The International 2025, a rare achievement for a South American player.

Team Liquid's roster ahead of BLAST SLAM VIII is now: Michael "miCKe" Vu on carry, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski on midlane, Wisper on offlane, Samuel "Boxi" Svahn on soft support, Erik "tOfu" Engel on hard support, and William "Blitz" Lee as coach.

Coach Blitz posted about the addition on X, saying "Lots of firsts this year, but kicking off with TL Dotas first ever SA player is super hype." Wisper is described as one of the strongest position 3 players South America currently has to offer, with signature heroes including Batrider, Dark Seer and Mars.

Liquid's new-look lineup will debut at BLAST SLAM VIII on September 29, 2026, with playoffs following in Malta. The tournament is a hybrid online and offline event.
