Walmart Cuts Price on Physical Preorders for Metroid Ravenous
Walmart is offering a ten-dollar discount on physical preorders for Metroid Ravenous ahead of its January 2027 release on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Walmart has introduced a price cut on physical preorders for the upcoming Nintendo title, Metroid Ravenous. Players looking to secure a physical copy for the Nintendo Switch 2 can purchase it for $59.88 instead of the standard $69.99 price. This reduction brings the physical version down to roughly the same cost as buying the game digitally.
Metroid Ravenous marks a return to the two-dimensional roots of the Metroid series. It serves as the first side-scrolling installment since the release of Metroid Dread on the Nintendo Switch in 2021. Nintendo officially showcased the side-scrolling adventure during its September 2026 Direct presentation, highlighting cinematic sequences alongside Samus dashing and rolling through various environments to battle enemies and bosses.
The title is scheduled to launch on January 28th, 2027. It remains unconfirmed how long the preorder discount will remain active at Walmart, as similar promotional prices have occasionally disappeared in the past. Additional story details and unique gameplay mechanics are currently being kept under wraps by developers.
