VR Slapstick Combat Card Game Primal Rumble Launches Limited Beta on Quest

Publisher Impact Inked and developer Play XD have launched a limited beta test for Primal Rumble. The title is a slapstick comedy card battler coming soon to the Quest platform. During the beta period, players can get an early look at the gameplay, collect and compete with creatures called Primals, try out new moves, experiment with card decks, and help the development team shape the game prior to its official launch.

Primal Rumble combines virtual reality and mixed reality. The mixed reality mode transforms the player's real world space into a living playground filled with vinyl statue style creatures known as Primals. Players collect these cute and funny creatures and compete against up to three other collectors inside a mixed reality arena. Each card represents a move for a Primal, and players deploy them one by one using a turn-based game loop.

Beta spots are currently limited. Interested players can find out how to join the test via the official Primal Rumble Discord server. In addition to the beta rollout, the game can now be wishlisted on Quest.
