Urban Open-World RPG Ananta Confirmed for Global 2027 Launch
NetEase Games and Naked Rain have announced that the urban open-world RPG Ananta will launch globally in 2027 for PC, PS5, and mobile platforms.
During the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase, publisher NetEase Games revealed fresh details regarding the upcoming urban open-world role-playing game, Ananta. Developed by Naked Rain, the title has been officially confirmed for a global launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms in 2027.
Set in a vibrant urban environment governed by algorithms and online culture, Ananta focuses heavily on social influence and the pursuit of attention. Players are tasked with becoming major influencers while navigating interconnected stories, unexpected encounters, and player-driven experiences. The core gameplay loop involves rebuilding a squad of agents belonging to the A.C.D. team. Players can seamlessly switch between these various characters, utilizing their martial arts combat skills to neutralize threats and boost their popularity.
The game's primary setting draws heavy design inspiration from real-world metropolises such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Tokyo. Furthermore, the developers have confirmed that the sprawling urban map will eventually expand to include a second inspired metropolis known as Chongxiao. Fans and prospective players can anticipate more news and updates from developer Naked Rain as development progresses toward the scheduled 2027 release window.
