Under Mythos Announced for Nintendo Switch with a 2028 Release Window

Kadath, a studio founded by Yoichi Miyaji—the producer of the acclaimed Lunar RPG series—has officially announced its debut title, Under Mythos, for the Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to launch on Nintendo's console in 2028.

Described as a dark fantasy JRPG, Under Mythos is set in a world teetering on the brink of madness. Within this strange realm, the gameplay centers around two contrasting activities: peaceful days spent welcoming and caring for guests at a mysterious hot spring inn, and dangerous dungeon expeditions undertaken in search of food and resources as the outside world slowly descends further into chaos.

The narrative follows a lone cat that wanders into another world in search of its Mother. Upon discovering the mysterious hot spring inn where realm inhabitants rest and relax, the cat begins working there in hopes of a reunion, unaware that an unpredictable disturbance is creeping into their everyday routine.

Kadath’s first project brings together industry creators whose past credits include several of Japan's most widely recognized game titles and series, such as Pokemon, Tales of the Abyss, GRANDIA, and Lunar.
