Troy Baker Says Intergalactic's Jordan is a 'Spiritual Successor' to Ellie

Troy Baker, who voiced Joel Miller in The Last of Us series, attended Ottawa Comiccon where he spoke enthusiastically about Naughty Dog's upcoming sci-fi game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Baker, who stars in the game, made comparisons between its lead character Jordan and Ellie from The Last of Us.

Speaking at the convention, Baker said: "I'm excited to see Intergalactic. You guys are going to get your minds blown. You are not ready. It's so good. We finally just wrapped." He highlighted the casting of Tati Gabrielle as Jordan, noting that developer Neil Druckmann had found strong performers for both roles. "He found Ashley for Ellie and he found Tati for Jordan. It's like, what? How do you do that? She is the spiritual successor," Baker said.

Baker also reflected on what he sees in the game's broader design. "I feel Uncharted, I feel The Last of Us, I feel something new," he explained. "They're testing the bounds of what that studio is capable of, and everything that I've seen, they are delivering, it's going to be incredible."

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet has been quiet since its reveal trailer, which drew mixed reactions from players due to product placement featured in the announcement. The game's exact release window remains unconfirmed, though speculation suggests a late 2027 release at the earliest. Naughty Dog has not officially announced a launch date.
