Topson Returns to OG as Midlaner for 2026-27 Dota 2 Season
OG has signed Topias Taavitsainen, reuniting the two-time International champion midlaner with the organisation for a rebuilt roster that includes carry Natsumi and hard support skem.
OG has announced a new-look roster for the 2026-27 Dota 2 season, bringing back Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen as midlaner. The Finnish player, who helped OG win The International in 2018 and 2019, returns after stints with Tundra Esports, LGD, Monkey Business, and Retirement Home.
The confirmed roster features John Anthony "Natsumi" Vargas on carry and Andrei "skem" Ong on hard support, both retained from last season's lineup. Valery "SSS" Lazarev and Ivan "OneJey" Zhivitsky fill the position 3 and position 4 roles, replacing Timothy "TIMS" Randrup and Polo "Raven" Fausto. Igor "kaffs" Estevão, most recently with LGD and HEROIC, serves as head coach.
Topson's return caps a period of roster changes for OG, which cycled through several adjustments over the past year. The midlaner is known for unconventional hero picks that found success at the top level during his previous tenure with the organisation.
OG's rebuilt roster will debut competitively at BLAST SLAM VIII on September 29, 2026. The organisation received a direct invitation to the Tier 1 event, which features online and offline stages before playoffs at BLAST Arena Studios in Malta.
