The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) has announced the dates for Tokyo Game Show 2027, confirming it will run as a five-day event from September 16 through September 20, 2027. The final day falls on a public holiday in Japan.

The announcement comes as TGS 2026 wraps up. This year's show initially planned a fifth day to celebrate the event's 30th anniversary, but CESA cancelled in-person attendance for that day due to an approaching typhoon, replacing it with livestreams instead. TGS 2026 drew 257,642 attendees across its operational days, marking a decrease from the previous two years.

The five-day format will continue into 2027, with the show running Thursday through Monday. CESA made the announcement on the penultimate day of TGS 2026. More details about next year's show are expected to be revealed as the event approaches.
