Three Series Reshape the PGL Wallachia Season 9 Playoffs

Day 2 of the PGL Wallachia Season 9 playoffs featured three high-stakes series that reshaped the remaining tournament field and eliminated an expected frontrunner. GamerLegion knocked 1win Team out of the competition in eighth place after a tightly contested three-game battle. 1win Team exited earlier than anticipated, as analysts expected the roster to reach at least the top four based on its usual standard. The lower-bracket exit began with a one-sided opening map where GamerLegion won every lane and closed out the game in 36 minutes. The second game swung wildly when 1win built a 20,000 net-worth lead by the 53-minute mark. GamerLegion attempted a comeback before 1win eventually secured the map after 68 minutes, fueled by a 21/5/10 performance from bzm playing Nature's Prophet. GamerLegion regrouped for the decider, taking early map control to finish the series in 36 minutes and send 1win home.

In the upper bracket, LGD Gaming swept Xtreme Gaming 2-0 to secure at least a top-three finish with room to climb further. Neither map was close, and support player Sneyking was singled out as a standout performer for LGD Gaming. The victory locks the fresh lineup into a strong tournament position.

The day concluded with a series between Team Yandex and Aurora that featured former Falcons teammates skiter and ATF facing each other for the first time in three years. Skiter drew first blood and went 23/1/12 on Ursa to lead Aurora to a game-one victory. Team Yandex responded decisively by taking the next two maps in 25 and 18 minutes to win the series 2-1, capitalizing on a pre-tournament roster shakeup. Following these results, ATF and Aurora advance to face Sneyking and LGD Gaming in the upper bracket with a grand final spot on the line, while the lower bracket continues to determine remaining contenders.
