The Missing Tail Racks Up Millions of Views Ahead of Xbox Launch
The upcoming cozy co-op adventure game The Missing Tail is gaining massive traction online, pulling in millions of views on social media ahead of its console release.

The upcoming cozy co-op adventure game The Missing Tail is generating significant viral attention across social media platforms ahead of its scheduled Xbox release. Over the past few weeks, the game has accumulated millions of views following its initial announcement. A single trailer has surpassed 200,000 views, while a TikTok video posted by the channel SharedXP has pulled in 2.7 million views and 310,000 likes.
Developed by Estoty, a studio known for previous mobile games and small independent Xbox titles, the project centers around a two-player cooperative experience. Players take control of two cats trying to find their way home together, featuring a pampered royal cat and a street-smart stray. The title adopts a Split Fiction formula that combines both split-screen and single-screen gameplay. Additionally, the project highlights that only one copy is needed for two-player co-op sessions.
Players explore a lively medieval courtyard and castle, complete quests, interact with townsfolk, and uncover secrets together. While the developer operates on a smaller budget compared to major studios behind similar co-op titles, the initial trailers have successfully enticed a large audience. The Missing Tail does not currently have a definitive release date, but it has been officially confirmed as coming soon to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC through Steam.
