Co-op Tower Defense Game The Lightkeepers Launches on Meta Quest
Spectral Games has released The Lightkeepers on Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, combining cooperative tower defense mechanics with day-night survival gameplay.

Co-op survival tower defense game The Lightkeepers is out now for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S headsets. Developed by Spectral Games, the title combines strategic tower defense mechanics with scavenging and crafting elements.
During the day cycle, players explore the island surrounding the lighthouse they must defend or take a boat to nearby locations for extra resources. When night falls, players return to the lighthouse to prepare for waves of Lovecraft-inspired creatures. A watch on the left wrist tracks remaining daytime hours, accompanied by an audio warning shortly before nightfall.
The game supports both seated and standing play styles, featuring smooth and snap turning alongside climbing mechanics. The lighthouse also includes an optional zipline to help players move quickly between floors.
Players gather materials such as fuel, scrap metal, cloth, and wood. Remote islands feature monsters that must be cleared out during the day before looting can take place. The title relies on a shoulder-based inventory system, where specific hands and shoulders are used to retrieve items like firearms, melee weapons, backpacks, and lamps.
The Lightkeepers offers multiple difficulty levels and run lengths, alongside a long-term progression system. Players can unlock new weapons, gear, and cosmetics through accumulated in-game currency, completed stat goals, and paid microtransactions. The game is priced at $19.99.
