Phoenixx Announces The First Zombie for Nintendo Switch
Phoenixx has revealed The First Zombie, a reverse zombie game for Nintendo Switch where players multiply zombies and transform Tokyo.

Phoenixx today unveiled The First Zombie for Nintendo Switch. The title will launch at a later date, but the developer has already shared a concept that flips the zombie formula on its head. Players will take on the role of humanity’s very first zombie, not to kill the undead but to multiply them.
The game is described as a “reverse” zombie game. Instead of defending against hordes, the goal is to “Make friends” with humans going about their daily lives and turn them into zombies. The tagline “Don’t Kill Zombies. Multiply Them.” captures the core loop. By growing the undead horde, the player can flood Tokyo’s streets with new companions.
The setting is Tokyo, with districts like Shibuya, Shinjuku and Ueno to conquer. Each area can be transformed into a zombie town as the horde expands. Kentaro Fujii, known for his work on Wednesday’s Downtown, is producing the title. The project aims to “lead humanity to a brand-new stage,” according to the overview.
A first trailer has been released, giving a glimpse of the unique gameplay. The release date will be announced when it is confirmed. In the meantime, fans can explore other Nintendo Switch coverage. The announcement marks a fresh take on the zombie genre, offering a cooperative twist that lets players rewrite the survival story.
