Team Liquid Eliminate FlyQuest 3-0 to Secure Worlds 2026 Spot
Team Liquid advanced to the League of Legends World Championships 2026 by defeating FlyQuest in a dominant Upper Bracket Semi-Finals sweep. The victory concluded a heated storyline involving co-streamer Marc 'Caedrel' Lamont and FlyQuest's controversial

Team Liquid has qualified for the League of Legends World Championships 2026 after sweeping FlyQuest 3-0 in the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals of the LCS Summer Playoffs.
The series concluded a contentious narrative that began when FlyQuest released a video titled 'Did Content Creators Bankrupt Esports?' which featured co-streamer Marc 'Caedrel' Lamont in a negative light. Before the match, Caedrel made his allegiance clear, committing to what he called a "generational hatewatch" of FlyQuest. "FlyQuest is the biggest larping org in the entire industry," he said. "I won't go more about it because chat says it's living rent free in my head, and lowkey it has been, so now we hatewatch."
Liquid's performance validated Caedrel's confidence. In Games 1 and 2, Team Liquid consistently found strong engage angles against FlyQuest, building substantial leads they converted into objectives and victories.
Game 3 proved more competitive. FlyQuest contained Liquid's early pressure, securing Herald and the first Baron while reaching Soul Point. The series turned when FlyQuest attempted a dive onto Rakan and Naafiri while hunting the final Dragon Soul. The engagement cost them the drake, the soul, and the fight itself, surrendering their advantage. Liquid capitalized immediately, claiming Baron and the decisive teamfight before taking the Nexus to guarantee their Worlds berth.
FlyQuest advances to the Lower Bracket Quarter-Finals, where they will face Shopify Rebellion. If FlyQuest wins, they will meet their former Jungler Kacper 'Inspired' Słoma, who now plays for Cloud9 after the team unexpectedly defeated the Mexican organization in the Upper Bracket.
Team Liquid now awaits the Cloud9 Upper Bracket Finals winner. The victor will qualify directly to Worlds 2026 as a guaranteed top-two seed, with the loser advancing to the Lower Bracket Finals. The LCS third seed will compete in the Play-In Stage. Brazil's CBLOL will determine the final two Worlds slots, with the split winner securing a main event spot and the runner-up entering Play-Ins.
