Team Falcons Win Rocket League World Championship 2026 After Historic Lower Bracket Run

Team Falcons made history at the Rocket League World Championship 2026 in Fort Worth, claiming the organization's first World Championship title with a dominant 4-0 victory over SpaceStation Gaming in the Grand Finals.

The Riyadh-based team's path to the championship was unconventional. After Twisted Minds' strong Paris Major performance pushed them to the top of the MENA points ranking, Falcons were forced to begin the tournament in Play-Ins. They progressed with 3-1 victories over FUT and R8, then entered the group stage alongside SpaceStation Gaming and tournament favorites Karmine Corp.

Falcons defeated both SSG and MIBR in groups but fell 1-3 to Karmine Corp in their final group match, sending them to the lower bracket for the playoffs. From there, they mounted a remarkable run, winning tight series with narrow margins. Against FURIA and Shopify Rebellion, Falcons claimed 4-1 victories, with three games in each series decided in overtime. They continued the pattern against NRG, winning 4-1 with all four victories by a single goal.

In the lower bracket semi-final against Karmine Corp, Falcons won a decisive Game 5 in overtime before delivering a dominant 6-0 victory in Game 6 to secure a 4-2 series win and a place in the Grand Finals.

The championship match itself saw Falcons reach another level of play compared to their earlier group stage meeting with SSG. Despite close scorelines throughout, Falcons maintained continuous pressure and completed a 4-0 sweep to cement their legacy.

Yazeed Abdullah 'Kiileerrz' Bakhashwin earned the RLCS 2026 World Championship MVP award, while his brother Saleh Abdullah 'Rw9' Bakhashwin took Grand Finals MVP. The Falcons' captain Samy 'dralii' Hajji drew particular praise from the community for his exceptional performance. This was dralii's second World Championship title, having previously won with BDS in 2024. He now holds a 6-0 Grand Finals record across his World Championship appearances, with only three games dropped across those six finals and a 24-5 overall games record including his 2024 and 2026 World titles, the 2025 Birmingham Major, and three Esports World Cup victories.
