Tales of Eternia Remastered Highlights Max in New Character Trailer

Bandai Namco has released a new character trailer for Tales of Eternia Remastered focusing on Max. Max leads the Shileska Freedom Army, a resistance group attempting to depose Balir, the ruler of Celestia. Known as Max the Invincible, he possesses a larger-than-life reputation alongside a limited vocabulary that causes him to substitute words in his sentences with that thing.

Tales of Eternia Remastered takes place across two isolated realms named Inferia and Celestia. Players follow Reid Hershel and his childhood friend Farah Oersted from the remote village of Rasheans after they encounter a mysterious girl named Meredy. The group embarks on an adventure to uncover Meredy origins and prevent a collision known as the Great Fall that threatens both worlds, utilizing elemental spirits called Greater Craymels to save the realms from catastrophe.

The title features the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System, which supports varied Artes, continuous combos, and coordination with party members in 2D combat. Quality-of-life improvements include destination markers, the ability to disable enemy encounters, and a high-speed mode during auto battles. Players can also toggle graphics and sound effects between modes to experience the nostalgic atmosphere of the original game.

Tales of Eternia Remastered launches for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 15, 2026. The publisher previously shared trailers highlighting other characters including Reid, Farah, Keele, and Chat.
