Prominent Nintendo Leaker Claims New Super Smash Bros. Game in Development

A prominent Nintendo leaker known as Malo932 has claimed that a new Super Smash Bros. game is in development, according to reports from multiple gaming outlets. The leaker, who has demonstrated accuracy with previous predictions, stated that the upcoming title will be a brand-new game rather than an expanded re-release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Malo932's track record includes correctly predicting the existence of back-to-back Nintendo Directs three days before the official announcement, as well as accurately forecasting Star Fox for Switch 2, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. These verified predictions have lent credibility to the leaker's claims within the Nintendo community.

According to the leaked information, the new Super Smash Bros. project is scheduled for a 2027 release. The claim specifies that this will not be a simple Switch 2 port of the existing Ultimate title, which launched in 2018 and has become the best-selling fighting game of all time, selling millions of copies and establishing itself as a defining title for the original Nintendo Switch.

The leak also includes claims about other Nintendo projects reportedly coming in 2027, including a new 3D Mario game, a pixel-art Metroid game, a new Wario Land title, and a Star Fox adventure game. Additionally, Malo932 suggested that Mario Kart World DLC featuring Fox McCloud will release in the coming year, and that a new Nintendogs game is in development, marking the series' return since 2011's Nintendogs and Cats for the 3DS.
