Suikoden: The Anime will premiere in Japan on October 3, 2026, according to a new trailer released by Konami. The first episode will run for 60 minutes as a special premiere, with the second episode arriving on October 13, 2026. Following episodes will air weekly every Tuesday, running approximately 20 minutes each.
The anime skips the first game and adapts the second entry in the Suikoden RPG series. No worldwide streaming home has been confirmed yet, meaning international viewers will need to wait for additional announcements about where to watch outside Japan.
The adaptation comes as part of broader celebrations for the franchise's 30th anniversary. Konami shared a new illustration based on the original Suikoden game's cover art, redrawn by artist Junko Kawano. A stage play adaptation of the first Suikoden game already aired in Japan in December 2025, following the anime's announcement in March 2025.
Players interested in the source material can experience the first two Suikoden games through the Suikoden I and II HD Remaster, available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
