StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026: Analyzing Favorites MOUZ and Vitality Ahead of Barcelona

StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 brings eight teams to Barcelona from September 17 to 20, offering a $500,000 prize pool and a compact double-elimination bracket. With both Team Spirit and Team Falcons absent, the field is missing the two squads ranked above the leading contenders. That leaves MOUZ, Vitality, and FURIA as the prominent favorites heading into the opening matches.

MOUZ enters the tournament following two consecutive grand final appearances. The roster won BLAST Bounty Season 2 by defeating Spirit 3-1 in the grand final and finished second at BLAST Open Porto. Their Porto run included wins against Falcons and Vitality. MOUZ opens the Barcelona bracket against NRG, a matchup where they hold a strong historical advantage.

Vitality remains a primary threat despite recent fluctuations in form. The team secured victories at five consecutive tournaments earlier in the year and achieved a historic second Grand Slam before experiencing a dip in performance. Vitality returns to its usual five-player lineup with the comeback of William mezii Merriman from paternity leave, joining apEX, ropz, ZywOo, and flameZ. Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut leads the squad with an individual 1.27 rating and 0.81 KPR over the preceding three months. Vitality faces magic in their opening match.

FURIA and MIBR complete the upper tier of discussion, though both face logistical or structural hurdles. FURIA arrives in Barcelona shortly after competing at FISSURE Playground 3 in China alongside MIBR, who reached the semifinals of that event following the addition of Martin tomaszin Corna. FURIA holds an opening price of 1.35 against MIBR, but travel constraints and recent results make the matchup unpredictable.
