Star Trek celebrates 60 years with Star Trek Online: Rediscovered featuring Spock through the ages

Arc Games and Cryptic Studios have officially announced Star Trek Online: Rediscovered, an upcoming season for the free-to-play Star Trek MMORPG. Revealed during Cryptic Studios’ special Star Trek Day livestream, the new update is set to launch on September 22, 2026, for PC, followed by a release on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on November 10, 2026. The season serves as part of the broader celebration of Star Trek's 60-year legacy.

Rediscovered introduces players to a narrative where time across the galaxy begins to fracture. The mysterious disappearances of key members from both the Federation and the Klingon Empire trigger a cascade of temporal disturbances. Captains are required to return to the year 2409 to unravel the mystery behind the disappearances of Lieutenant Miral Paris and Ambassador B'vat. A final message left on the Gateway Planet launches players on a temporal chase across Star Trek history, where they will encounter Spock through the ages.

The upcoming season features a star-studded voice cast reprising or stepping into legendary roles. Ethan Peck stars as Lieutenant Spock from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, while Piotr Michael voices Captain Spock from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Additionally, Lisa LoCicero returns as Lieutenant Miral Paris, and Jon St. John returns as B’vat. The expansion also reintroduces original archival dialogue from Leonard Nimoy as Commander Spock from Star Trek: The Original Series, bringing his historic performance back to the game.

Alongside the main narrative, Rediscovered continues the remaster of the fan-favorite “The Ultimate Klingon” storyline and adds several gameplay features. A new episode titled “The City on the Edge of Never” drives the core time-travel mystery. Players can also participate in a new Space Task Force Operation (TFO) called “Know Thy Enemy,” which involves a brutal Klingon training holosimulation designed by B'vat to expose Federation weaknesses. A dedicated event rewards players with powerful space weapons for participating in selected TFOs.

The update brings new physical goods and store offerings as well, including the 60th Anniversary Starship Icons Prize Pack, which offers a chance to win one of 60 starships with the grand prize being the Constitution Pilot Multi-Mission Cruiser [T6] from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Furthermore, a Rediscovered Minibundle provides outfits like the Crepusculan Traveler’s Robes and Starfleet Medical Jumpsuit (2259), anti-Gorn ground weapons, and two Holographic Spock bridge officers. Finally, a new gifting feature allows players to buy select Zen Store bundles for friends or fleet members.
