SNK Announces Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Metal Slug Ultimate Collection for Nintendo Platforms

During Nintendo's latest Direct, SNK made several major announcements for Nintendo platforms, including upcoming releases for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Metal Slug Ultimate Collection.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is heading to the Nintendo Switch. The game will be offered in two ways, with a Standard Edition priced at $19.99 that includes the base game, and a Starter Edition priced at $29.99 that packs in the game's first three seasons of content. Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will launch digitally on October 22nd, followed by a physical release in January 2027. SNK also announced that Mai Shiranui's classic costume will return as a pre-order bonus for the Switch 2 Edition.

In addition to the release platforms, SNK detailed post-release content for the game. Two characters from Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers, Manjiro "Mikey" Sano and Ken "Draken" Ryuguji, will join the roster in October. They will enter Southtown to face the game's strongest fighters alongside guest characters including Cristiano Ronaldo, Salvatore Gannucci, Ken Masters, Chun Li, and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is already available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms.

SNK also revealed the Metal Slug Ultimate Collection to celebrate the franchise's upcoming 30th anniversary. This new compilation gathers the series' seven numbered entries, Metal Slug Advance, and for the first time, a location test version that preceded the original title. The Metal Slug Ultimate Collection is scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch platform in 2027.
